Professor Shari Huhndorf Receives Guggenheim Fellowship

Professor Shari Huhndorf has been awarded a John Simon Guggenheim Fellowship for the 2018-2019 year to pursue a work on her third book, “Indigeneity and the Politics of Space: Gender, Geography, Culture.” Shari (who is Yupik, from Alaska) has written two previous books Going Native: Indians in the American Cultural Imagination (Cornell, 2001) and Mapping the Americas: The Transnational Politics of Contemporary Native Culture (Cornell, 2009).
