Gregoria is broadly interested in race and empire, postcolonial subjectivity and cultures, oral history and memory, affect and the archive, and Black Feminist and Indigenous epistemologies. Her doctoral research focuses on the Panama Canal Zone. She holds a BA in History and Theater from UC Santa Cruz (2013), an MA in History from The University of Chicago (2017), and an MA in Ethnic Studies from UC Berkeley (2020). She was raised in Oakland, California.
